A review.
A little while ago the lovelies from Aldi sent us a suncare bundle to try out. We’ve been very lucky over the past few weeks weather-wise, not only needing sun cream but also ice lollies and lots of other summer-related goodies. This means of course that I’ve been able to test these sun care products out in action.
I have two very precious boys who love the sun and being out and about. My job as their parent has been to ensure that they are safe and that includes being safe from the sun. I’ve always bought the “best” names when it comes to sun cream, assuming the top brands with their fancy labs would offer the very best unbeatable protection for the boys. Handing over said top brand creams at the tills has always been a rather painful experience though with these brands ranging from seven to ten pounds per bottle.
My previous encounter with Aldi, reviewing health and beauty items was a rip-roaring success in that I’ll never buy such costly items again. As all of the products I tried then were of a very high quality I felt I could trust my children’s skin to their products.
The Aldi range includes a number of products from after sun sprays to sun creams that rub on or spray on in a number of factors. We’ve used them all and have been delighted with how easily they go on, how well they absorb and how well protected their skin has been. I’ve also found that a little goes a long way, making these fab sun products a clear winner in the budget-stakes too.
The most expensive item in the range was….. £2.99 (quite the saving), with the cheapest (the after sun spray) being £1.99. Would I recommend these products? Yes, absolutely. I’m a stickler when it comes to packaging, ease of use and affordability when it comes to shopping but above all I won’t accept anything other than the very best when it comes to the health and well-being of the boys. With that in mind I’m happy to give the Aldi / Lacura range full marks.
