He is here! What a relief. Just a quick post to share a few early pics and say a huge thank you to everyone for their fantastic and very touching messages.
Taylor arrived by CSection at 4.13pm on the 23rd Nov and we are both doing well, my gestational diabetes has disappeared and Taylor’s blood sugars have been absolutely fine. No side effects for either of us fortunately!
The first 24hrs together weren’t quite as planned to say the least as I has a severe reaction to the diamorphine they put into the spinal block so wasn’t a happy bunny but will no doubt blog about this later lol. I’m fine now and we are settled back at home, and loving being a family of four.
I do just have to mention that the staff at the hospital, from the Maternity Day Unit, to the Maternity Ward & Theatre and of course the Diabetic Team have been absolutely fantastic and hugely supportive throughout and we are all very grateful (Friarage Hospital, North Yorks).
So..
