I wrote recently about self-care and about why it is important. Self-care is not just important for your mental wellbeing but your physical health too. I’ve already posted about how your bath time ritual is important and how to get the most out of it. Now I’m thinking about skin care, particularly facial care.
The PR over at Angela Langford Skincare emailed me a while ago tell me about Angela’s skincare range. The name rang a bell and it might with you. Angela Langford was a MasterChef finalist and her skincare range is based on Angela’s passion for all things natural and her insistence on quality. Angela’s organic, vegan, cruelty-free products are a wonder to behold.
I received the Angela Langford Scrub Up to give a go and was very impressed. Believe it or not, it takes a lot of work, great filters and clever lighting to keep this face looking so youthful. I haven’t worn makeup since I was 17 years old and try to avoid chemical-laden skincare. I have skin that needs to be exfoliated and this wonderful smelling papaya, bilberry and lemon facial exfoliator clears and brightens my skin. I have used vegan, cruelty-free brands before and this product is right up there on my favourite’s list.
Described as a fruit smoothie for the skin, this scrub helps to slough off dead skin making it feel great and look younger. Needless to say, anything that makes my skin glows gives me a great feeling too so it’s a win/win. Angela suggests using it a couple of times a week however if I’m being honest, I use it most days.
I think Angela’s skill in the kitchen and her belief in whole-body wellness, i.e. only using top quality, natural ingredients in skin care and only putting into your body the same, is what makes this brand stand out.
From a self-care point of view, I love the Angela Langford Scrub Up, the taking time to pamper myself and to enjoy the wonderful scent which is mood boosting in itself.
