Now is Good – a DVD Review

When I was asked if I wanted to watch and review a DVD from Warner Brothers which featured a feisty 17yr old girl who was passionate about life despite having chosen to pull the plug on her treatment for a terminal illness I expected many tears. I certainly didn’t expect any laughter.

This sort of film isn’t really Roy’s type of movie so it was clearly another opportunity for a movie night with the girls!

The film was brilliant, edgy, quite amusing and touching. Dakota Fanning plays the part of Tessa fantastically as she battles with the knowledge that her days are numbered yet shows gritty determination to get through her bucket list which involves losing her virginity, breaking the law and taking drugs.

Yes there was the obligatory sobbing into the cushion at the end, even Roxy looked sad…

All in all, red eyes and running noses aside I have to say that this clever film which deals with a sensitive issue very well is a great watch and the girls agree.

Thanks again Warner Brothers, another great movie to watch!
