Elias Superwipes are advertised as “First Aid for Removal of Food & Drink Stains”. They come in handy packs suitable for changing bags, hangbags, travel cases etc. They are aimed to be effective on stains such as wine, fruit juice, baby food, coffee etc immediately on contact.
The pack instructions state to use as soon as a stain is discovered, always do a test in a hidden area of the garment to ensure there is no reaction, to wipe the stain in a circular motion, and wait ten minutes to see the stain “disappear before your eyes”. For stubborn stains it is recommended that you repeat the process.
Elias Superwipes are available at Elias Online and cost £2.49 for a pack of 5 wipes (before £0.99 P & P). They can also be bought at all Elias Cleaners Ltd. throughout London. They will be stocked in major UK retailers in the very near future.
My findings.
I was quite excited when this item arrived for intense Cawood-style testing. After hovering over poor Kieran for a week, mentally willing him to drop some food on himself whilst telling him to eat properly, I would lunge at him when he would spill (reverse psychology, works every time) and run off to test this magical product. For me though it didn’t seem to do a lot more than what I could achieve with a quick baby-wipe attack before throwing in the wash.
Personally I wouldn’t buy these wipes for my family’s use but in the interests of fairness I will point you in the direction of another review I found, which seems to indicate just the opposite. Have a read of the other review and visit the Elias website before you make up your mind, it may just be me, however a review is a review and this is Candidly Cleaning!
