Two products reviewed:
Rose & Mallow Moisturiser. Organic marshmallow and luxurious rose absolute smooth and balance the skin while the vitamin rich blend of carrot and almond revitalises and rejuvenates. Use morning and night as part of a skin-care regime, or apply regularly throughout the day. Price: £19.50 for 50g.
My rating: Rating 3.5 out of 5. This moisturiser absorbed very well, and is certainly economic. I used this over a few days and would call this a generally good all day moisturiser for combination skin that did not leave you greasy and had a very pleasant but not overpowering scent. Actually the scent is quite a nostalgic one but I can’t for the life of me think what it reminds me of!
Citrus Hand Softener/Treatment
Directions Apply to dry, rough or cracked skin of the hands (knees or feet!) as required to soothe and soften.
My rating: 4.5 out of 5: I loved this! The scent is very clean and fresh without being overly strong and it certainly is a very effective moisturiser/ softener. I would recommend this for night use and perhaps with moisturising gloves for best results but not so much as a day cream as it is very intensive and perhaps a bit too slick for daytime use. I didn’t use it on my feet, but with hindsight I wish I had as I imagine it would a great product for my heels!

REVIEW: Therapeutics Extra Rich Cream

Overview:
This is a specially formulated, extra rich cream which contains no steroids and can be used to both combat the effects of Eczema, Psoriasis, Dry or Inflamed skin like dermatitis and as a barrier to cream to further ensure a reduction in flare-ups and cracked/sore/bleeding skin by leaving a thin surface layer to protect against loss of moisture from the skin. This product is also anti bacterial.

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Grapeseed (Vitis Vinifera) Glyceryl stearate Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Cetyl Alcohol Wheatgerm (Triticum vulgare) Sodium Lactate & Sodium PCA & Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein & Asparagus (Officinalis) & Sodium Phosphate Tea Tree Oil.

My thoughts.
When I was asked by Nikki Pepper of Nikki’s Eco Products (see below for contact info) to accept a sample pot of this cream to test and review and I jumped at the chance. I have contact dermatitis on my hands which dates back to my time working in a nursing home, many moons ago, and although I don’t suffer with daily, or even weekly, when I do I am left with sore, cracked and irritated skin. Generally speaking my hands do get very dry, between being a Mum (ie hands constantly in the washing bowl or cleaning mess!) or from my skin problem and I have, until now struggled to find a cream that ticks or my “want” boxes.
1) No steroids – I only ever use any medications, especially steroidal based ones if absolutely necessary.
2) Easily and quickly absorbed, I hate creams that leave your hands feeling greasy afterwards!
3) A decent scent – I’m not overly vain but I don’t like stinking of something metallic, or worse during the course of the day.
4) Economical, I hate waste so this again was ideal as I only had to use a very small amount each time.
5) An Eco-product! I like to use green products where possible, going more for the natural feel than anything else and again, this is product is very natural!
With this product, all the relevant boxes were ticked and I would be happy to recommend this product to others.
