Movies For All From Warner Brothers

We have been very lucky to have been sent some brilliant films from Warner Brothers to watch and review. What we love about WB is that they cater for all ages and all interests.

Kieran has thoroughly enjoyed his most recent DVD, Scooby-Doo: Mask of the Blue Falcon.

Kieran’s review:
I loved this one. Scooby and Shaggy were really fun and this time there were superheroes in it called Blue Falcon and his dog Dynomutt. This was a long film, not a short Scooby Doo one which is really good because that meant that me and Mummy could watch it for other movie night. My birthday is in July and I’m having a sleepover and want to watch this film with my friends“.

I think we’ll give that a 5/5 then!

For us grown ups we had Argo.
I’d seen a few snippets about Argo and liked the sound of the storyline, and although I’m not a huge fan of Ben Affleck I was looking forward to watching this.

This film is actually based on real events. Without giving too much away (I hate knowing what is going to happen before I sit down to watch a film!) I can tell you that this dramatic thriller focuses on a covert operation to rescue six Americans in Iran. The CIA get involved and Tony Mendez, the key character, puts together an unlikely plan to get the job done. Gritty, fast moving and insightful both Roy and I enjoyed Argo and both of us would recommend it to others.

I’m tempted to give this a 4/5 purely because Ben Affleck annoys me for some reason however his acting was flawless and very believable so our star rating is another 5/5.

Thanks Warner Brothers – another fab weekend’s entertainment!
