100 Easy Ways to be a Thrifty Family

I consider myself something of a thrifty person. I like to make do and mend rather than buy new all of the time. I love a bargain and think that if there is a cheaper way of doing something just as effectively then why not try it? Money saved always has a use and nowadays being thrifty is a lifestyle that many people adopt on a daily basis.

I may be known to some as being frugal however no-one I know does thrifty better than the lovely Becky Goddard-Hill. I have known Becky for a few years now, from back when she published her first book How to Have Time Off With Your Baby. The reason why I loved her book was because it wasn’t one of those preachy texts that seem to be popping up all over, it is a genuine and helpful book based on Becky’s experiences of becoming a Mum and realising that if she wanted to live within her new income level without the whole family missing out, that she would have to make some changes.

Her first book was a rip-roaring success and her latest, and long awaited e-book / Kindle book is now available for sale at just £2.05 (even the tips cost very little!). 100 Easy Ways to be a Thrifty Family boast a great compilation of practical solutions, hints and tips to help the modern family live within their budget without compromising on what is important to them.

Again, written from a genuine and easy-going perspective, this book is an invaluable tool to those wishing to cut their outgoings. I can’t recommend this highly enough (and not just because I know and respect Becky)  because this truly is a useful and sometimes eye-opening book.
